Kindo Privacy Policy

Overview and scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Kunna processes personal information for Kindo, a Flutter mobile app that uses Supabase (authentication, database, storage, and server functions) and RevenueCat (subscriptions and purchase status). This policy applies to Kindo and related support channels.

Data we collect

Depending on the features you use in production, Kindo may collect: Contact Info (name, email, phone number), Identifiers (app account user ID), Purchases (subscription or purchase status), User Content (for example notes, text, and media uploads when required), optional sensitive feature data (location, contacts, photos or videos, audio only when you grant permission and use those features), and operational diagnostics or crash logs with personal data redacted where reasonably possible.

How we use data

Our primary purpose for collected data is App Functionality: account access, syncing household information, shared planning, subscriptions, and support. We use diagnostics and limited analytics only to operate, secure, and improve product behavior. We do not use your data for third-party advertising.

Identity linkage and tracking

Most Kindo data is linked to your account identity, especially contact details, user ID, purchase status, and user content. Kindo data is not used for cross-app or cross-website tracking, and it is not shared with ad brokers for targeted advertising. Under Apple's definition, Kindo does not perform tracking at this time.

Permissions and optional features

Permissions are requested only when needed for a feature you choose to use. Location, contacts, photos or videos, and audio access are optional and user-initiated. You can change device permissions at any time in system settings, but disabling permissions may limit related features.

Legal bases (GDPR and similar laws)

Where applicable, we process data under: contract necessity (to provide Kindo), consent (for optional permissions and consent-based actions), legitimate interests (service reliability, abuse prevention, and security), and legal obligations. Kindo is not designed to collect special-category personal data by default.

How we share data and processors

We do not sell personal data. We share data only with processors that help deliver Kindo, including Supabase for core infrastructure and RevenueCat for subscriptions and purchase validation. If additional vendors are used for messaging, notifications, or analytics, they are engaged under contractual safeguards and only for the stated purposes.

International transfers

If data is processed across borders, we apply appropriate transfer safeguards required by law, such as data processing terms and standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms where applicable.

Retention and deletion

We retain account and app data only as long as needed for service delivery, legal obligations, and security. Typical categories include account records, user content, operational logs, and encrypted backups with limited retention windows. When you request account deletion, we remove active account data from application databases and storage, then delete remaining backup copies after the normal backup lifecycle expires.

Security controls

We use layered security controls including encryption in transit (HTTPS or TLS), encryption at rest for infrastructure, storage, and backups, field-level protection for selected sensitive fields, managed secret or key-management systems, least-privilege access controls, row-level access controls where applicable, audit logging, and incident response procedures.

Your privacy rights and DSARs

Depending on your location, you may request access, export, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection to certain processing, and you may withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis. You may also file a complaint with your local supervisory authority. To protect your account, we may verify identity before acting on a request.

How to request export or deletion

Send privacy requests to [email protected] from your account email and include the request type (access, export, correction, or deletion). We acknowledge requests promptly and target a response within 30 days, or sooner where required by law.

Policy updates and change management

We update this policy when data practices, features, or legal requirements change. When material changes occur, we update the effective date and revise App Store Connect privacy answers and in-app privacy wording so all disclosures stay aligned.
